I forgot to mention I'd be sitting down with my legs in front, like a kayak.

I cannot paddle sitting on my knees, not even for a minute.

There was a really nice one in WoodenBoat I while back. The owner put in two water tight compartments and a cover on it so that it could be rolled. ( I'll scan it tonight )

I wouldn't mind widening it a bit though for more stability.

BTW How much did yours weigh?
