Foot Pedals for Fiberglass Kayak

I purchased a 1970's vintage fiberglass kayak (13') The interior is bare of seat or foot rest. It is a whitewater shape and I feel it would be easier to control if I had foot support. What would be an easy solution to mounting a foot rest system ? Thanks
