Depending on what your goals are, I can recommend the video (Home Grown Boats) building a strip built kayak. They build a Panache by Rob Max. It's a two video set which covers the entire process, strip by strip. Buying lumber all the way to final launching. I am partial, I met the authors and have seen the craftsmanship first hand and I'm impressed.
