I'm not sure where you're located Jim, but around me (Cinti, OH) there are two shops that sell specialty woods for the serious woodworker. They both have veneers of various wood types. I would do a search using Big Yellow [pages] and specify your locality/region and the business "wood" or "wood supply", or other variation. You'll get plenty of standard lumber yards but you may find an obscure name that may have what you need. I'll try to post the link for Big Yellow below. Good luck. ..p.c.
