Thanks Tom, Lee, Darren and Mike. I have looked at everything from the CLC to Noah's Marine that was listed, and they are all good suppliers, but, by the time I got done paying their frieght (??) from the East Coast, out here to Fresburg I would be building a $2,000 kayak. I have turned this electonic crackerbox upside-down and inside-out and have found NO sites on the West Coast ( that are listed ) that carry All the materials. In the valley, we have several boat builders, but, they buy wholesale and refuse to sell retail as they are manufacturers. Besides, they all are into the big-motor, racing (skiing), 100mph+, long, pointy, $3,000 paint job, "pleasure???" boats. Their are Kayaks and canoes out here, but, all fiberglass or molded plastic. I haven't seen a wooden kayak anywhere I've gone, with the exception of the coast. And even those are 90% plastic rentals. Are ya totally discusted yet?? I've probably accumulated about 30 hours already and not done more than unfold the plans. Well, I did move the Goldwing, truck and car out of the garage in anticipation, but, their back home now. Humph!! I have found good prices on the plywood, $38.95 a sheet, and the only place I could find cloth cut to length out here is right next to my favorite fishing hole in Monterey. So, I think that's the way I'm gonna have to go. I will look into the Gougeon Bros. site again as it's been a long time since I checked it out. Thanks again for the help, and if ya got any other ideas, I'm open to anything. Well, O.K., almost anything. I'm a POSTAL EMPLOYEE. {:o) Perfectly gruntled of course. {;o)
