Shawn:

I just molded a new seat with the sand in a box method then glassing over the plastic wrap covered sand.

Anyways, I did build a so-called "pleasure pod" of buildup material near the edge of the seat between my legs. Once I sat in the sand, I pretty much build up a bit of sand around the area where the pod would go and wiggled a bit to set the shape a bit better for my body.

I would just build some extra thick molding material up in the area, either before you sit down to do the mold or right after you sit down and then pore it in. It somewhat depends on how thick your molding plaster is.

I haven't got mine in the boat yet but right now it has about 4-6 layers of fiberglass in it. The height of the pleasure pod is about 2 inches above the level of the seat probably.

regards , Pete
