Pete, I used the sink cutout from a countertop (Formica) to make a table. The fence was made from the same cutout. I anchored the fence at one end and let it swing in and out from the bit till I get the clearence needed. I then clamp it in place. The table sets on my workmate (clamped)
One router works for me and it only takes 10 min. to change over from bead to cove. Two routers is a good idea for someone making strips for several boats.
Another thing not mentioned yet: I found it well worth the $20 I spent on a speed control (my router lacks its own). 25000 rpm is too fast for cedar. I lowered the speed to about 15-16000 rpm. I could hear and see the results. Much better finish and little tearout.
I will be milling 1500 ft this weekend and hope I have the same luck I have had previously.
