I'm definitely a devotee of the "More Cockpit Outfitting Is Better" theory of setting up your boat.

I took a chunk of 3" x 6" x 12" Minicell and split it diagonally lengthwise for two good-sized wedges. Then, I hollowed out the "hypotenuse" of the wedge so it's more "hook-shaped" than wedge-shaped. I have as good of purchase with my thighs as any sea kayak and a lot of whitewater boats.

I also have the good "pop-in" hip pads. I have to pop my hips past the pads to get in, then it's comfortably snug.

Anyhow, I just don't find it an easy rolling boat. If I can handroll it, I consider it "Easy Rolling"! The Guillemot fits this category, as do many round-bottomed whitewater boats. I'm planning to demo and test the Current Designs Extreme for this hypothesis!

I saw 10-15 mph winds on Saturday; not real hard, but a long fetch, so I saw some good 2-2.5' waves. The Chesapeake handles really well, except for some slight broaching tendencies.
