I've never personally used marine paint for any project. But, I am an illustrator and fine artist. I dont understand the mans reluctance to use Marine paint as well as his suggestion of using Outdoor paint? Is marine paint so different in application handeling that outdoor paint for the home is actually more manageble? In the event that the bias is due inpart to a greater selection of color in outdoor paint over marine - consider another artist. I used to do liturgical resoration for DESIGNS of Worcester Mass. Steve, the owner believed in the 5 color approach - red, blue, yellow, white and black. The spectrum turned out by sparse method was something to behold.
