Hey Ian It's all the same everywhere, except we out here in Calif. have also, hot water. When it's along into june and all the way to Aug. or Sept. the water is too hot to go swimming. Even the lower lakes are like a warn bath. That's when everyone takes their speed-boats up to the higher lakes. For us, hard water is something that is corrected by the use of filters in the system. Too much chemical and mineral deposits. I believe the best way to tell if it's gettin on to winter is you see fewer and fewer lawn mowers. ???? Although the serious yuard care folks just put out the rye grass or fesque? in the cooler months and the lawn stays mowable all year around. That's be the Jones's. I tel by the trees getting naked and my lawn turning to dirt. Hope that helps. :) Rehd
