I suppose I should have explained that before posting the picture.

I work for a concrete precaster. One of our former products was septic tanks and underground waste management systems. That cannister is a sample of a filter housing we got from one of our distributors. Since we no longer really build septic tanks, the sample was of little use to the company, so I sez to myself,"Self, that pooper filter would make a good knee tube!" so I asked my boss for the sample filter housing. (The real filter housings are 18-24" diameter and 4-6' long)

It's not totally waterproof, but neither was my deckbag--it's great for car keys, sunglasses, a waterproof camera (or el-cheapo P&S in a ziploc), and Power Bars. I glassed in nylon loops under the deck and hold it and my pump in with bungies.

I see Mick already got the idea to turn it into a "Boom-box!". That's a great idea, but if I were using it for that nefarious (yet very necessary in some areas) purpose, I'd store it in the back hatch.

Actually, I'm thinking of building a poop tube out of 6" PVC with a solid cap on one end and a screw-cap on the other, and just line it with a plastic bag for camping in sensitive or highly-used areas without toilet facilities.
