Birds-Eye Pine ??

I'm sure most of us are familiar with Birds Eye maple and how beautiful it is when used as an accent in a piece of quality furniture. I've seen some eally nice Birds Eye Pine in recent years, and am wondering how it would look on a deck and how it would take to bending. Anybody tried or seen it used?? I wouldn't think the knots would be of a structural problem, as they are quite small. But, generally, they are grouped in a concentrated pattern. Plus, the grain around them seems a bit squirely(spelling?) If seen and/or used, what sort of suggestions would you have for working with it. I have never worked with this breed of wood in anything less than 3/4". I've only seen it in SugarPine and it's pretty rare I'm told. Course that's out here in Sunshine land where any Sugar Pine is rare. I'd like to hear any ideas you all might have. For that matter, has anyone used Birds Eye Maple? Same questions !
