sorry about my thickheadedness: as I understand it, a hull panel made up of three strips varies in width within its own length? sounds as it should be. But that two mirrored hull panels are off is wrong,did you glue the mirrored pair of panels one on top of the other? Is it at all possible that you've got a wrong section making up a hull panel? If one panel truly is 4mm off from the other or the ends 1/2" off I would consider rebuilding that panel or ordering a new one
