I have used one all winter. I heat the area up with the heater and then shut it down when I epoxy so that air bubles won't form. There is a slight odor when I start up, until the hot shield gets hot, and when I shut it down. In between the combustion is very good. I have had no epoxy problems - I am using West System epoxy.
