WEST says that you would need three coats of epoxy to make it water tight? Nick's book says to do one coat and then coat the inside with varnish rubed in w/a rag to fill in the pin-holes in the epoxy. One layer of varnish is a lot lighter than two coats of epoxy. but make sure to put more coats of varnish around the cockpit and places that will recieve alot of sunlight
