This sounds great. How did you manage to clamp the strip in place so that the clamps did not get in the way of the saw when you made the cut? Did you make the cut freehand, or were you able to rig some kind of guide for the saw? Do you have any pictures of the setup? Can you use the same clamping setup to hold the strip in place when it is glued -- instead of using staples?
