> Hello all,
Hello Chris, I also live north of Boston, (about an hour). You got the answers to most of your question, but I thought I would add that I spent @ $150 on a combination of cedar, redwood, pine and ash. I got most of the wood in Portsmouth, NH. at a place called Selectwood. They have long length stock for deck building. They have delt with a bunch of us boat building guy's and know we like to rummage through to find the right boards. I bought most of my other supplies from Newfound Wood works. The expensive part is glass and epoxy. I have a total cost of @ $600 in building and I spent 250 hours over 4-1/2 months. It is addictive I'm on my second boat now and planning at least one more.
