One other thing to point out about cove and bead vs flat edges, they hold together better between stations. This can become significant, especially if you are working with different woods with different bending characteristics. My deck was done square edged with different woods, and I ended up doing a lot of stapling and such between supporting points attempting to get the butted edges to line up flush with each other.
