Ross,
I started out with a diamond-shape, but tried some others that were flatter and lighter. I think I'll try a shorter one next time with the more authentic diamond-shape. My current one is too long. They are cheap enough to make, so my only excuse for not making more is time.
Make this one your storm paddle and build another out of 100% red cedar.
