That is why I had to cut the bottom of the seat out. That long oval of glass from the seat is still glued to the boat. The situation is even more complicated because in my efforts to get the seat out I actually tore a layer of the fiberglass up from the bottom of the boat itself. I now have to epoxy that back down and I want to put an extra layer of glass down where I'm putting in the new foam seat.

This is a good idea because that hunk of foam is still there.
