I asked the same question on this BBS a while back. Did not get real positive feedback. I still think it might be a good idea, but I don't know all of the properties of Tyvek. Check out the Baidarka Mailing List at http://robroy.totalsports.net/baidarka/. That site is devoted entirely to skin kayaks. Let us know what you find out. I may follow in you footsteps (or is that paddle strokes).
