Lee -- Thanks for your response. I guess I've been a little too negative about CLC & Pygmy. I haven't heard much between the two in the past few months, but about a 13-14 months ago, when I when I first started on this bulletin board it was bad at times. Bottom line, I liked the Merganser better than all the other boats out there. Since I'm a beginning paddler I don't know much about performance, so I'll need to try some other boats to see how the Merganser compares to them. Thanks again, Greg
