Hi Shawn, Glad to here your now on to the deck! I did not put knee braces on my last boat but wished I did. For me I don't think I need them that bad but for someone shorter like my Wife I think they will help. I finished gluing up the ultralight paddle today, so I now have two completed blanks to carve. I think the storm paddle is going to be a real boat anchor for weight. Its got Paduk and ash in it. Keep up the pace it won't be long before you have a complete boat!
