? Hi mick;
? Ahah! Another way to mark the strip. That is a good idea, I will try it ? tomorrow. The strips are getting easier in that the angle is getting ? larger and the fitup surfaces are getting shorter as I proceed. It was ? primarily those 18?+ tapers that took forever. That is another ? ?benefit? of smooth, low rocker lines . . . Things happen ? verrrry gradually. I guess the impending deck should bring me more of the ? same depending on the design I come up with.
? BTW - I like your novel ideas of accomplishing an end - - I've read a fair ? amount of the archive and you always have innovative ideas. There are 2 ? kinds of engineers, in a very general sense. Those that plod through the ? numbers and do it classically, and those that leapfrog and find a simpler ? way to do the same thing. You (and Nick) belong to the latter group IMHO . ? . . ;-)
? Best Regards, Spidey
Hi Spidey,
Well thank-you, but unfortunately there maybe a reason to change your opinion:
You see, in bldg my kayak I knew where I wanted the strips to lay but was unsure about how to really get there - so I stapled down a strip about every 2 in exactly where I wanted it and then -and then - filled in between.
So I had many long tapers. long. looonnng.
lots, too. like quite a few. like maybe a few too many. . . .
dumb
real dumb
(maybe)
