Craig, like Jerry said wipe it with a wet towel to see whether the differences you are seeing make a difference. Hold off on using the RO. too much and go back to easy lazy sanding with the sanding block,not so much with the intention of taking down the epoxy but more with the idea of getting your hands to know what the surface feels like. I find that stops me from fixating on spots.
