I used 1/4" luan, each seam on the hull has a fillet, a layer of 2" tape and a layer of 3" tape. Each seam on the deck has a fillet and a layer of 2" tape. The only cloth on the inside is in the cickpit area for abrasion protection.

I'm sure the extra weight comes from extra tape, fillet epoxy, and 1/4 material. I'm just wondering if weight savings would be worth while if I only taped the outside seams vs a full glass sheath.
