Robert, I've built a canoe with beveled strips and a kayak with C&B. I find it far easier and less time consuming to use C&B strips. In practice though, I did some beveled strips on the kayak to get better fits in the tricky pattern areas or places where the cove might be broken trying to get it into a tight space. Usually the last strip or two that finished out a confined area of the pattern. Glue joints are better because the C&B by design presents a larger gluing surface. Jerry Siegel
