Hi Julie,

The utter simplicity, compactness and utility of the internal strongback is just too compelling for me. If space or speed is important, it's a keeper.

And why worry about strongback or worktable straightness as the important consideration is actually the alignment of the forms. So let loose from the tyranny of carefully aligning and bldg the strongback! Freedom can be attained at last by the use of tiny little bits of string. And why waste cross- sectional stiffness by attaching mounting blocks at intervals? Use wedges and the effective cross sectional area of the strongback actually goes up!

Anyway it's just another method, and any stiff spine can be made to work.
