Today I tested my newest kayak. Success! (it didn't sink, that's how I measure success). It is a 4.8m 0.53m kayak for medium sized paddlers 50-80kg. The narrow hull makes it rather fun to canoe. I don't like beamy kayaks. I think the kayak is best suited for lakes and bigger calm rivers. I don't think it is a "bad weather kayak". The things on my chest are "ice nails" there are still a lot of ice left. All this kayak building has made me look like Homer Simpson so now I must start to get in shape for the racing season. The kayak is drawn with Carlsons hull designer and AutoCad LT 2000 If anyone wants DXFs I can send them.
