I have a 3,5hp only to find out my antique electric 60Amp wire cannot support the surge created by the compressor -- it blows the 30Amp fuse everytime I fire it up without fail, even after I changed to slow blow fuse. Someday I am going to upgrade my electric system, but in the mean time, the big black hunk of metal is still brand spanking new after 8 years (minus the dust on top.0 Lesson is, Johnnie, to make sure your house current can handle the 5.5hp before purchassing it.
