Hi Rehd;
I've learned more about woodworking while building this one kayak than in all previous woodworking projects combined! What you've described sounds obvious, but it's eluded me until now . . . 8 cutting edges on one scraper, 4 different blade profiles. I wonder too if the burrs produced by drawing a steel along the edge are longer lasting than the burr produced by the belt sander. That burr seems to dull pretty quickly, but it could also be the quality of the steel in the paint scraper blades.
