Something else to look for is the amperage ratings Sears is notorious for overstating thier tools. From what I remember true 5 horses would need to be 220. Comparing amperage is a more accurate way to compare, especially between brands.
I have heard bad things about oil-less compressors, I don't know what the two you are looking at are though. Also it is very important to make sure the piston head are either cast iron or have iron sleeves, the aluminum heads wear too quickly.
You might want to look on the motor and the clyinder head and see where they are made, It would not suprise me to hear that both are made by the same manufacturer, probably Campbell Hausefield. One thing though sears often specifies lower quality parts in sears brand tools than the maker's brand even though thay comeoff the same line.
