mick, Good idea, I had not thought of that. I measured up and there is not enough 2x1 to run a parallel piece but I have had another dig into the steel stack and unearthed 4x2 galvanised steel box section. this has all the stiffness needed. This will do the trick. Will make a start as soon as a busy period at work settles down. Thanks once again Don
