Hi Scott;

The first 24oz completed about 90% of the wetout - A fair amount ended up on the floor and strongback, perhaps 10-15%(?) As Dan said, "When you get a 3 gallon kit for 79.95 we ain't gonna be stingy pouring it on!" I mixed the additional 12oz for the two layers of tape that were going on at the bow & stern, and to complete what little remained of the hull. I have about a 4oz puck left from the second mix. Working alone, I think I'd mix about 12-16oz to start, slow down just a bit, and probably end up using somewhere between 24-30oz.

Incidentally, the bulk of the wetout was done in about 10 min, and probably because of the generous pours, at no time did the wood ever create anything resembling a dry spot. I mean to say my friend had me _saturate_ the cloth before dragging the resin elsewhere. The rest of the time was spent shaping the cloth along the stems and then the abrasion strips.
