Re: putting a project on hold...
In Response To: putting a project on hold... (Walter S.)
I built my canoe 0utside, on my deck, over a two year period. I took all summer to strip it, covering the project with a poly tarp. i couldn't afford the fiberglass the first year, so i left it on the forms over the winter. It was a heavy job to get the entire strongback, forms, and canoe into the garage for the winter, and it did not come out again until I got some help the next summer. By that time I had glass cloth, resin, and an addiction to building boats.
End result: No problems.
Hope this helps.
