Scott, Thanks for the follow up posting. When I first asked that syringe question, I was in the beginning stages of building my Artic Tern. Since then I have discovered several marine supply stores locally which supply cheap syringes for boat building purposes. They have straight plastic tips which I usually bend by immersing them in hot water, then bending to desired angle.

This weekend I have been sanding down the fill coats on my now completed Artic Tern in preparation for varnishing.

I just hope I can get a coat of varnish on in time for the South Sound Wooden Kayaker's Nisqually Delta trip next weekend.
