Good information on sanding - I too enjoy sanding and planing, as the shape and appearance of the project finally start to come together. In the "old" days, when I didn't enjoy these activities, it was because my plane was not too good/sharp, the sandpaper was whatever was laying around wrapped around whatever piece of wood I grabbed, etc. With the proper tools, attitude & technique, shaping and sanding can be very enjoyable!
