My fiancee's Guillemot that I built "for her" and "borrow occasionally" has handled beautifully in all conditions--flatwater, post-hurricane winds and swells, and breaking surf. Maybe I'm not that picky, but I just go with the flow instead of trying to muscle the boat. Its tendency to turn is easily compensated by a slight lean anyways. I'll be interested to compare its performance to my skin on frame that I just finished--if only the water would hurry and warm-up.
