before deciding on the kit, I took note of the different sizes - width,lenth, depth, cockpit, etc' & went to try different kayaks. I took note of the measurements of the kayaks I'm trying, & I learned how I interact with it. It didn't gave me the reactions of the coho, it just gave me a rough idea whether it will work, or not.

As I said,I wanted to get a kit with 21" - 22" wide. I tried a 21.5" kayak, I think it was something from "current designs", & discovered my limitations. If I had went by my feelings (love/hate - beautiful/ugly) it would have been disasterous for me.
