I once heard that silicone is not good to use on latex, that's why you shouldn't use Armor-All on latex gaskets.

Seal Saver has silicone, so maybe what I heard was wrong.

I've been using 303 on my nylon drytops, paddling jackets and PFD's for 6 months--I'm glad I can look forward to at least 8.5 more years! How long has 303 been around? I thought it was relatively new stuff.

Check your local Wal-Mart for 303. It's supposed to be cheaper there in the automotive section than at kayak sources. I know that while it's good to support your local paddle shop, if you're spending $3 extra on 303 there, then you don't have the extra money to buy the latest nose plugs or paddling magazine.
