Thanks! Given that it's in my living room, it's easier to assume it's furniture. In fact, I don't think I'll paddle it. I'm going to put a glass top on it and call it a 18' coffee table. Maybe I'll plant some jade trees in the cockpit and hatches.

I'm not quite following on the forms question, but the only thing I changed was to add about 1/2" to the top of the 3 forms foreward of the cockpit and 1/4" to the 4th for foot clearance for my size-12 clod-hoppers. The forms are to Jay's plan, which has the hull rounded in the center (no chine at all) transitioning to V-shaped fore and aft. Should track well and be very efficient, but will probably feel pretty loose in terms of initial stability -- I'll give a full report when I get it in the water in a couple weeks!
