: has anyone sewn a protective cover for thier boat? does anyone have any info
: on this, or know of any sources of information? Thanks Q
Q, I made one for my Pygmy after dodging hail several times while on vacation. I have the use of a commercial sewing machine but NO sewing knowledge. My cover came out very good. I just layed the cloth on the boat and marked the darts needed to make it tight on the boat and sewed them. I attached nylon straps and fastec buckles to hold the cover on as well as sewing a cord around the perimeter to cinch it tight. It keeps the sun, dirt, rain, etc. off the boat while traveling or in storage. It cost me about $5 to make. I used waterproof boat canvas.
