I know in advance that this is NOT what you are going to want to do... I don't think I would want to anyway's but I know System Three makes a type of carbon that is added to the epoxy. It is supposed to make it a little tougher and more "slippery". You could put it in the football area of your craft and tell everyone that's the hi-tech aspect of your kayak... carbon fiber like a jet fighter :-)....... Aside from that I would say live with it, if it's your first boat there will be a second and you have learned a lesson here on your first. I did the same thing to a monster entertainment center I was building for a customer. It was a new type of 3/4" oak plywood called "lumber-core". It was supposed to have a face 3 times the thickness of standard ply but they didn't mention that it was actually made up of 3 thicker veneers with one VERY VERY thin veneer for the face. I just touched my ROS to the surface and BLAM I was through the veneer and into the underlying surface. Well an angry call to the supplier and a sheet of 1/4 inch oak fixed the problem and the customer never knew. I know this doesn't help your present situation but everyone makes mistakes, your's is slight and I'm sure you learned something from it. Doug
