few weeks ago nick posted a graph: thickness of the plywood in relation to the strength with epoxy & glass etc'.

find it & check if you really loose a significant amount of strength. my intuition tells me you don't really loose much, & my limited experience tells me you don't really need that strength.

about the look - forget it man! your boat can't be uglier than mine! & it doesn't matter a bit.
