Hi again;
Thanks everyone, for the nice compliments on Betsy. Shucks, I just finished the swoops last night and already the memory of the amount of work involved is fading! I have one more major design element to tackle, but (today, at least) it sounds like it should be fun. After filling in the rest of the deck with cedar strips, I will cut out the remaining part of the design and then fill it back in with spruce - the only bending and twisting will involve 1/16" pin stripes, which are VERY flexible.
One other note: I reread my post and wish to clarify that I wasn't discouraged from sweeping across sheer-to-sheer by anyone, I was simply told that it was very difficult to keep the strips fair when doing so - Which is very true!
Thanks again, I'll post a pic when I get to cutting up the deck I'm just now stripping . . .
Best Regards, Spidey
