Hi Ian;

Thanks for the info - I passed along the hint about the fabric softener to my wife as well, we'll have to watch that carefully in the future. Since my last project in the garage was metalworking and machining, the area is probably less than hospitable to wood finishing . . . (WD-40, cutting oils, etc.)

I applied a new coat of epoxy tonight, again with a West roller, and again it went on seemingly perfectly. After an hour, it still looks great, even with the requisite "garage dust" sprinkled on the surface. Much better to have to remove surface stuff than remove the whole coat . . . ;-)
