Wires can also be completely pulled out. I recently tried a technique mentioned here a while back, and it worked great. Clip one side of the wire stitch about ¼ in long and heat it with a soldering iron while holding the long end with your bare hand. When the long end gets hot, grab it with pliers and pull it out. Two people make the job easy.
