Hello from Anchorage, I've paddled up here for 30 years in a wide variety of areas and conditions. I can help you with info on most any ocean area and most state rivers.

I have my own kayak and raft company; teaching classes, guiding trips, renting equipment.

This year I am president on Knik Kayakers and Canoers, our local paddling club. There are about 200 mmembers mixed between ocean kayakers, ww kayakers, rafters and canoers. There are activities and groups going out all summer and meetings during the fall and winter also.

Our web page, KCK.org, is not always up to date, but we try. You can get info there and get on our listserver to see what paddlers are doing all summer.

I built a Chesapeake 18 last year, am looking at another boat this fall. there is a small group of wooden boat builders here.

Alaska and Anchorage are great places full of good people.

Feel free to send questions any time you want. ydnar@alaska.net
