try switching gasket materials. maybe even use a thin gasket on each part of the hatch (ie. deck part and actual hatch) so that all the seal materials press together. Where did you mount the interior loops to connect to the bungies on the inside of the hull? You use 4 hooks per hatch compared to Ross's two - do you then use 4 bungies or only 2? maybe try 4 with slightly differing amounts of tension. You also need to figure out why the hatches leak and exactly where. maybe the inside of the hatch is slightly rough? using 2 gaskets per hatch may give you a better seal since you will have 2 compressible things pushing on each other then. also, you bungies may have stretched - have you retightened them?

by the way, I do not have interiors bungies yet but have build the lips pretty much like yours. you can get several styles and thicknesses/widths of seals via the companyt that Roiss bought his knobs for his cradles from. I have used this company to get seals and the knobs. check his website as I don't have the info here at work. godd luck in fixing your hatches so that they work better.

PS. I just returned from the No-Octane as well. Ross' hatches did seem to hold down well. Perhaps your hooks on the hatches are in the wrong spot as well - are they close to the edge or closer to the center?
