I had the same problem with my strip built, except we went sailing for the weekend and didn't notice until we got back. Maybe you could notch some leftover strips or scrap and hook them along the edge every so often with some plastic under them so they don't stick to the epoxy, you will have to sand that area anyway when you join the halves together. Try to make sure it does'nt cause wrinkles in the fiberglass. I guess you could also (temporarily) epoxy some across on the inside and cut them off later.
